We are currently in the process of updating and renovating our hotel rooms and conference centers. We are renovating everything from the carpets, wallpaper to the fixtures and paintings.

Our hotel can fit the business traveler to the family. We offer quite rooms in our tower for the business traveler and have over 100 pool-view rooms for our families traveling with kids.
What transport is available to get around?
The Plaza Hotel offers free shuttle service to the Central Wisconsin Airport and Downtown Wausau Airport as well as Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Other transportation includes our city bus line with a stop located right outside our parking lot.

What can I do nearby?
We are one mile from Marathon Park. It offers great walking trails and during the summer some musical events and fairs. We are also located about 5 miles from Granite Peak Ski Area for the avid skier and offer free shuttle service to anyone going to ski. Rib Mountain State Park is also located about 5 miles away, Rib Mountain State Park offers great hiking and wonderful views of the city.

With our central location in Wausau you are not too far away from anything. We have surrounding townships that are at most 10 minutes away from our doorstep and do offer events and entertainment throughout the year.

As a family, what are the best things to do?
Family events around Wausau and the Plaza would include areas such as Marathon Park for walking and summer events, Grand Central Station Kids Fun Park, Rib Mountain State Park for the rock climber, for educational purposes there is the historic district of Wausau located just blocks away from the Plaza.
